What is Mo’jive?

A Mojive Night is an exciting combination of learning a modern social partner dance in a relaxed and easy manner in the surrounding of smart nightclub.

The modern jive dance is fun to do and exciting to watch as people from all walks of life attempt to spin, twist and fling their partner into stylish jive moves such as ‘wurlitzers’, ‘butterflys’ and ‘seducers’.

This 21st Century style of ‘jive’ has its roots in Lindyhop, rock ‘n’ roll, and latin dances.

At Mo’jive you can dance with a partner to Basement Jaxx, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Santana, Kylie and Will Young on the same night.

The Mo’jive class starts at 7.45 pm with 15 minutes for you to relax and socialise. The starter session gives people the chance to take their first safe step into the world of partner dancing by instructing them on how to get to grips with three starter moves.

Then, as the regulars take to the floor for the intermediate moves, new people are offered help by one of our friendly ‘Coaches’.

After being shown all the moves for the evening it’s straight into Freestyle where you can dance the night away!
